 Unsane Visqueen

This one is for all the noise rockers among us. This NYC 3-piece formed in the late 80's, took a break in 2000 and reformed in 2003.
After the reformation, they've released 'blood run' on relapse and now their 13th record, Visqueen, is released by Ipecac.
This record is a wall of sound, and as many bands try to sound like another band, these guys go out and make their own rules, even on the 13th record.
Guitarist/Volcalist Chris Spencer keeps the trademarked Unsane sound alive. His voice, bending the arm of his guitar and the occasional harmonica all come into play. The slow parts with a heavily distorted bass, country type guitar riffs and a snare drum that sounds like someones head popping off the neck make Unsane immortal.
I had a chance to catch these guys live last year in Diksmuide (Belgium), and I didn't know what the hell was going on. I was stunned by their sound and performance. I didn't know you could get all those sound out of a Fender Telecaster!
Thank you Unsane, for all those wonderful sounds, and forgive me for having heard you guys for the first time in 2003.
