 Appleseed Cast Two Conversations

I saw this band live last week and I didn't know they were going to be so good. They played with confidence and had some cool samples with political quotes between the songs. Although they're an emo band, it didn't get boring for a split second. This is a great album by those four guys from Lawrence, Kansas. It's actually their 6th album, and also their best. I know I risk of getting beat up by the hardcore APC fans but I'm not really fond of their previous work, it's certainly not bad, only not as good as this. This is just more experienced and solid. The faster songs are my favorites here, the softer stuff (like "sinking") is a little too emo for me. Check this out if you like emo-bands that play real music like the New Ams. It doesn't sound the same, but that can be a reference if you don't know what to expect. A well deserved 80 in my eyes. check out some cool (live)videos here: http://calendars.lawrence.com/turnpike/episodes/15/

Appleseed really is great. I enjoy this album more than their 2 disc deal they did a few years back. The new emphasis on vocals is a welcome one, though those others will still great in a different vein.
