The Sloppy Meateaters are one of the hardest working bands in the scene. Started off in 1999, they already appeared on the Vans Warped Tour, were voted on the Farm Club show and have been touring their asses off. Now, this 'mature' release might just take them all the way to the top. Hell yeah, they deserve that. SME's new material still is hyper-melodic, but a firm dose of desperation and frustration has been injected into its veins. I really love this underlying 'angry teenager' feeling. The Sloppy Meateaters have let some slower emo influences creep into their music. The outcome: truly magnificent songs such as "One Dream At A Time" (check it out on MP3.com) and "Give Me Something". It's pretty hard for me to describe this strong feeling of frustration that this band's music evokes. NOFX is also good at bringing this sort of songs, think of 'Drop The World' and 'Falling In Love'. Other songs on this record that you just cannot afford to miss: "Impossible", "Suddenly Forget", "Love Myself Better Than You", "Who's Counting" and (time to rock 'n' roll) "So Long". A must have for fans of New Found Glory, No Use For A Name or Undeclinable.
