November 22 Lords Of Altamont Lords Have Mercy
Lords Have Mercy is the 2nd full length release from the LA based Lords Of Altamont, a band that believes in fast, hard rock n’ roll in the garage punk tradition so much that Michael Davis of the MC5 states in the liner notes: “I am proud to be associated with this talented squad of rebellious rabble rousers who reclaim the golden era of real rock music, the last era of real style, and make it so today.” 11 new tracks of gear-grinding garage rock that is not to be overlooked as revivalism, but praised as 100% real… right when we need it most!

November 01 Black Furies Death Trip Saturday Night
Gearhead's long search for a great local band has finally ended with the singing of San Francisco's own Black Furies. They play rock and roll in the tradition of well, frankly EVERY good rock and roll band. These four clad-in-black fellows have been compared to everybody from The Dragons and The Hellacopters to Zodiac Mindwarp and even Chuck Berry in the press, so you're just going to have to hear these guys and draw your own conclusions. As Zero Magazine said, it's "Loud, fast and 100 percent rock" and we couldn't agree more. Their full length release will be out this Fall, feel free to get excited right now.

October 11 Pink Swords Shut Up And Take It
Hot on the heals of their critically acclaimed debut LP One Night High, Shut Up And Take It is the latest release from Austin Texas punk mainstays The Pink Swords. Here are 12 new tracks of pure, unbridled punk rock fury! Keeping it simple - but in no way safe - is what these guys do best, their classic Dead Boys / Dwarves two guitar attack has been well received by anyone who has caught them live and by the press as well. The Pink Swords have been described as "the most in your face roots style punk in years…" this is definitely a band that you’ll be hearing a lot about in the upcoming months. Artwork by White Stripes illustrator Rob Jones, limited edition LP contains bonus track.

August 09 Electric Eel Shock Beat Me!
Japan's Electric Eel Shock ALWAYS deliver the goods live, and with that reputation fully solidified, the time came to make a record that lives up to the hype, and that's exactly what Beat Me does. As a recent issue of Kerrang said: "with assistance from Grammy nominated producer Attie Bauw (Scorpions, Judas Priest, etc.) EES have made an album that harnesses their energy and captures the very essence of their raw onstage power. "Beat Me" occupies the gaping void somewhere between Queens Of The Stoneage, AC/DC and Black Sabbath. It's both as heavy and serious as that sounds, yet has a mischievous and fun-filled heart beating underneath the guitar wielding heaviness that is wild, unhinged and damn fun to listen too!" We couldn't have said it better ourselves! Enhanced CD includes video for "Scream For Me".

April 19 Gitogito Hustler Gito Gito Galore
Gitogito Hustler are not your typical pop punk girl band. These Japanese gals embody all the power and seduction of the classic 60’s Bond Girl in everything they do, and they do everything on their own terms. From releasing records on their label Candy Poison to creating their matching stage outfits, these girls have IT. "Gito Gito Galore" is their first US CD, and Gearhead is thrilled that they chose us to release it. 6 amazing tracks of melodic pop punk with beefy guitars, sing-along choruses and more attitude than the baddest kids on the block. You cannot resist the power of the Gitogito Hustler! Limited edition 10" available on purple vinyl.

March 08 Electric Eel Shock Go USA!
Gearhead Records has signed Japan's Electric Eel Shock. From the label: "Yes! Continuing the great Gearhead tradition of putting out records by bands that are already household words everywhere else in the world except America, we are freakin' thrilled to announce the release of Go USA! in the States on March 8th. Go USA! is a very important release for us, not only has the European version (called Go Europe! 'natch) of this record received praise from everyone from the NME to Kerrang! It ACTUALLY LIVES UP TO THE HYPE! Yes, friends, the last time we got a hold of something this hot, it was five Swedish fellows in matching suits, and we all know how that ended up. The band recently released a split 7" picture disc with Texas' the Riverboat Gamblers. The 14 track full length Go USA! was recorded at Wisseloord studios in Holland with Grammy nominated producer Attie Bauw (Judas Preist, The Scorpians)."

January 18 NRA Machine (US release)

September 21 Million Dollar Marxists Give It A Name
Ottawa Ontario punk rock and roll band, Million Dollar Marxists, have signed an exclusive record deal with San Francisco's Gearhead Records. M$M's debut full length, Give It A Name will be in stores on Sept 21st. The band formed three years ago in Capital City. Since then, the group has become known as one Ottawa's most explosive and energetic bands, toured Canada coast to coast extensively, garnered coverage in local magazines and newspapers from Halifax to Vancouver, sold out the second pressing their self released, globally praised Demo/EP and has shared the stage with the likes of Electric Frankenstein, The Waking Eyes, The Candy Snatchers and Nashville Pussy. The album is the culmination of three years of work. Recorded at several studios in the Ottawa area, mixed at Chemical Sound (Weakerthans, Moneen, Death From Above) in Toronto and finally mastered at Golden Mastering (Sonic Youth, Black Flag, Calaxico) in Ventura CA, the 14 song album is a blistering representation of M$M's continued goal of rock and roll reinvention. The release also features original cover art by lowbrow artist, Dirty Donny, who has recently provided artwork for Metallica, Detroit Cobras and The Wildhearts.

June 08 Red Planet We Know How It Goes
Recorded and produced by guitarist Chris Dunn, these 12 Red Planet tracks are easily some of the strongest material the band has done to date. Pulling from influences like Cheap Trick and The Cars to The Undertones and Real Kids, the Bay Area boys are finally back after a 3 year hiatus to thrill us with this brand new set of pop gems. They DO "know how it goes" and so will you after hearing these catchy songs just once… you'll be humming them to the grave!

March 09 Wildhearts, The Riff After Riff
One of Britain’s best-loved and most notorious rock bands, The Wildhearts are about to take their rightful place as one of the most electrifying outfits anywhere in the world. Riff After Riff is the bands first Stateside release since their seminal debut Earth Vs. The Wildhearts in 1993. Since then The Wildhearts have garnered a large and loyal fan base in the U.K., Australia and Japan, and recent tours with The Darkness and Motorhead have only enhanced their reputation as one of the greatest live bands ever. They must be seen, they must be heard, and clearly nothing can stop them! Riff After Riff is available on limited edition colored vinyl LP and CD that includes the bonus track “Return To Zero.”

February 10 Various The Gearhead Records Thingmaker
A blend of Gearhead's finest moments and unreleased cuts! Sure you get the biggest bugs in the Gearhead basement like The Hellacopters, The Hives and The New Bomb Turks, but all the creepiest new crawlers are here too - The Wildhearts, The Riverboat Gamblers, The Turbo A.C.'s and the Million Dollar Marxists - and that's just the tip of the icepick! Old pals like The Dragons, "Demons", The Nomads, Mensen, NRA, Red Planet, The Dukes Of Hamburg and The Hypnomen say hello to new pals like The Hunches and The Lazy Cowgirls who appear on one of our samplers for the very first time. And if that isn't enough to make you run for the bug spray, totally unreleased bonus tracks from Rock 'N' Roll Soldiers, New Bomb Turks, American Heartbreak and The Turbo A.C.'s seal the deal. All for $5

November 11 Various Greaseball Melodrama
Expertly compiled by Eric Davidson of the New Bomb Turks, the Greaseball Melodrama features 16 of the best bands in the underground: The Cuts, Baseball Furies, Mystery Girls, The Hunches, Lost Kids, Colombian Neckties, Chargers Street Gang, Rock 'n' Roll Soldiers, Goddamn Gentleman, Blowtops, High Beams, Gypsy Witch, Geraldine, Exxon Valdez, The Diverters & Scat Rag Boosters. It's a 16 track CD with over 42 minutes of rock that you just can't knock for only $8.

October 07 New Bomb Turks Switchblade Tongues, Butterknife Brains
The latest Turks full length release is a more of an unreleased Best Of than an "odds and ends" collection. An amazing EP (recorded in 2001 for Glazed) and extra cuts from last years "The Night Before The Day The Earth Stood Still" make up the bulk of this LP/CD, plus a few great covers (Aerosmith's "Chip Away The Stone," The Devil Dog's "Radio Beat" and "Death Of Mighty Joe") and a few other gems round out this must have collection. 16 tracks in all, plus enhanced CD includes a 5 minute trailer for the New Bomb Turks DVD that will be released next year. First pressing of the LP is available on pink vinyl.

June 10 Riverboat Gamblers, The Something To Crow About
Possibly the best live punk band in the world, The Riverboat Gamblers have been described as a "thermonuclear rock & roll blowtorch" and now you can hear what all the fuss is about first hand. This 5 piece from Denton Texas has literally exploded in their home state, and it's only matter of time before the world catches up - it's punk rock, garage rock, and rock and roll, all at once, not unlike The Hives but distinctly American. Each track is catchier than the last and the choruses beg to be sung along to - it is impossible to sit still while listening to "Something To Crow About." Produced by Texas punk rock legend Tim Kerr, 'nuff said!

June 10 Dragons, The Sin Salvation
As Rock and Roll goes, these San Diego California boys are royalty - and for the first time on record their explosive live energy has been properly captured. From the opening chords of "Sin Salvation" to over-the-top punk rock of "Dirty Bomb" and "Self Destruction" to rockers like "Money Or Your Life" to the poignant and thought provoking "Sad Vacation" through the final melancholy notes of "Tragedy," The Dragons have truly produced an LP that is 100% killer. 11 tracks of loud guitars, leather pants, whiskey, cigarettes, and broken hearts... sin and rockin' redemption all in one place. LP contains non-CD bonus track and is available for a short time on orange vinyl.

May 06 Turbo AC's Automatic
Way back in 1998, Gearhead Magazine called NYC's Turbo A.C.'s "a younger, hungrier Supersuckers" and that quote still applies to this day. 5 years, thousands of miles, and a huge international fanbase later, they are a perfect fit for Gearhead Records. Sonically and substantially, "Automatic" is by far the strongest Turbo A.C.'s release to date, don't miss out! 12 track CD.

April 15 Mensen (Nor) Oslo City
Mensen are back with the long awaited follow up to the Delusions of Grandeur LP/CD! Letting no one forget where these girls (and one trademark boy) call home, Oslo City carries on the fine tradition of quality Norwegian rock and roll, living up to the standards set by peers like Turbonegro and Gluecifer. There is a marked progression here in songwriting, delivery and production... it's everything you love about Mensen plus so much more... prepare to ROCK, Oslo City style.
