As you surely know, NY based Go-Kart Records will be releasing the first commercially sold MP3 sampler. It will be entitled "Go-Kart MP300 Raceway" featuring 150 bands with 300 songs on a 2-CD-set. The album is available for pre-order as we speak and the first 100 people who order will have the chance to win a portable Mp3 player. More info can be obtained here.

Also, please note that go-kart records give internet users the chance to download six of their latest releases (Amazombies, Plan-A-Project, Pseudo Heroes, Capture the Flag, Guff, Daycare Swindlers) at NO CHARGE! Here.

Along with this, Go-Kart released an OPEN LETTER TO RIAA where they state that not all of the record labels agree with this policy. Here

By now, over 40.000 people downloaded the albums and the label is getting worldwide attention such as MTV, Fark, NEOWIN, O'Reilly etc. Here.

amazombies - yawn

capture the flag - I probably would have bought it 2nd hand eventually, but only if it was really cheap.

daycare swindlers - I like this kind of fast punk rock. but I don't think everybody will appreciate this band.

guff - great band.

plan a project - bad copy of early rancid.

pseudo heroes - some really really really great songs, and some not so great.

they deserve a donation for these two bands.
